THE FCD BULLETIN

THE FCD BULLETIN         MAY 2024

 WHAT’S NEW?

·       Fremont Conservation District Launches E-Newsletter

Thank you for reading the inaugural edition of The FCD Bulletin. This e-newsletter will replace the previously printed Rocky Mountain Conservation Times and focus on conservation news and topics in and around Fremont County. If you have suggestions for what you would like to see in future editions of The FCD Bulletin, please contact us at our District office.

·       Fremont Conservation District By-Laws Update

The Fremont Conservation District voted to update its district by-laws for the first time since 1984. Changes include striking the word ‘soil’ from the district title and allowing a simple majority of two or more board members to constitute a quorum for monthly meetings except for meetings which concern the adoption of an annual budget.

APRIL IN REVIEW

·       78th Annual Landowner’s Banquet

The Fremont Conservation District held its 78th Annual Landowner’s Banquet on Friday April 19th. Thank you to our guest speaker, Water Commissioner Dan Henrichs, and to all our attendees. Survey’s reflecting on the Fremont Conservation District’s services were collected with the main result being a community consensus on the need for more youth involvement and outreach in both agriculture and conservation.
