Presented to 6th Grade Science classes, the Fremont Conservation District will make a presentation to your class on a conservation theme selected for the year by the National Association of Conservation Districts. The themes are based on a particular conservation practice or concern - the themes change each year!! Follow-up with some classroom instruction, and, the students are ready to create a poster based on the theme! The Fremont Conservation District provides the poster paper and registration forms that are needed for students to participate!! There are cash and other prizes for the students to win, and, a travelling Art Trophy for the participating school who has the best art on the posters!! The Fremont Conservation District will begin contacting local Science teachers in September to schedule presentation for October.
